I'm not sucking up, but since this is our last blog, I guess, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this class. It is so nice to WANT to go to class for once.
Anyway, the three modes that I would like to utilize are going to create the unified identity of a professional journalist. I already have a blog that contains many of my professional clips. That is definitely going to be one of my modes. Then, I thought I might create an additional blog that would host my other modes.
I first wanted to create a music playlist that relates to my early years spent becoming a journalist. I became interested in the field because music reporting really appealed to me and molded my professional identity. So, I thought I could create a playlist, or possibly a video, and host it on this separate blog. I really wanted to use Garage Band, but being realistic, I just don't think I'll have enough time to do it as well as I'd like, so I won't do it at all. I think the biggest challenge with this part of the project will be that it is time consuming and syncing up music can be a little difficult.
The second mode will be photos. These will be hosted on the second blog. I plan to create at least one Photoshop image and then include photos I have taken professionally, either stand alone, or as a link to a profile I have created on another Web site. It is called Capture El Paso. This profile is actually part of a large contest, but I consider it professional because my submissions may be published in the book associated with the Web site. I think I'll encounter difficulties with this part of the project through sheer logistics. It'll be hard to get all my work together on this blog and decide what goes on. I'll probably have to some scanning and digging through my office to find things I want to use.
The last part of my project would be my professional blog. Since it is already up I don't anticipate too many difficulties with it. Perhaps I might change the page theme. I also think I'll change my picture to a more serious photo.
I definitely think that all of these modes will tie together my identity as a professional journalist and show that I have become a multim-modal journalist.

I am so glad you enjoyed the class. I really did, too. You guys have been fantastic.
As for your identity performance project, I love the idea of you taking on a professional identity. I love the idea of a playlist that says something about you as a journalist and I like the use of still images.
I know you are expressing some concern over time constraint (smart concern to have regarding new media). I am wondering if a site like Linkedin.com might be a good option for you to use to connect to your existing blog, show some images and present your identity. The site is intended as a professional networking site and has a section for newspaper folks. Check it out and if you like it feel free to pursue it -- even if it means you don't do the music list (not sure if that's an option).
I just thought this may be a way to steamline your project and will get three modes (blog, social networking site, images) in with no problem.
